Dear Reader,
At this time in our journey, you have now been introduced to most all the historically significant figures of our tale. If you will permit my interruption, I would like to so graciously thank you for joining me in this adventure. You see, I am the last surviving member of my Elenvian lineage and, as such, my mind has been the lone conduit through which all these great Elenvian figures have sought to be heard. As extraordinary as it may sound, I swear it is true that in some way these magnificent spirits continue to reach me, sending their stories across the Wood, nearly haunting me with their persistence. Of late, however, those from this 'Beginning' which you now read have begun to quiet in my ear, and I have no doubt this is only the case because they have found yours to whisper into in my place.
This being the case, I feel it pertinent to pause the tale so I might remember each of its main actors to you, familiarizing you more completely so that you will be sure to recognize them whenever - and wherever - they appear, whether it be here in your further reading, or in your dreams.
With gratitude, I am yours,
Cedar Flyte

Dramatis Personae (In Order of Appearance)
Isolda Oxbien - Royal of Masor; second child of Madrick I and Fionella, now passed; younger sibling to Madrick II. She is extremely well-read, talented in tact, and brilliantly bright. Still, Reader, I caution you, it is worthy to be wary of her word.
Madrick Oxbien II - Royal of Masor; first child of Madrick I and Fionella, now passed; older sibling to Isolda. He is emotional, caring, and kind, and has difficulty claiming his inner worth. I thought of him often during my not-so-well-handled teenage years. Admittedly, his influence both helped and hindered.
Esta - Servant to Isolda in Masor; partner to Byrdon; mother of Leanna. She is deeply loving and passionately stubborn. I think of her in times when secrets must be held and wonder how it was she kept them.
Petrenair Ranzentine - Royal of Pavoline; father of Guiomar. He strives for what is best, but is tired, fatigued and blinded by grief. Sometimes, when I am confounded by the actions of even the better people in power, this particular king comes to my mind.
Guiomar Ranzentine - Royal of Pavoline; child of Petrenair. He is cunning and thoughtful. His thoughts, however, never waver from their presumptions. His vengeful eyes haunted me when I was a child.
Byrdon - Servant to Guiomar in Pavoline; partner to Esta; father of Leanna. He is guided equally by love and by fear. I am forever fascinated by the combination of determination and desperation which led to his actions.
Kennedy - Child of Kesk Fairy Warriors Stoman and Alizren, but herself one of the purple-skinned royal Nachovy. She is the closest friend of Leanna Page, and a personal childhood hero of mine.
Leanna Page - Ah, what to say of the legend herself? To begin simply, she is the child of Esta and Byrdon, dearest friend of Kennedy, and (soon) the servant of Crown Madrick in Masor. She walks in and out of dreams and travels the world in her mind. She is small and yet reaches so far. I have always found it fitting that the first words we know her to have said are “Kennedy, I have just had the most beautiful dream in the world!” May we all find it within us to dream as grandly as she does.

Reader, I will keep you no moment longer, for there is much to unveil. Before returning to Leanna, however, we must first follow the adventures of the little fairy. In the next pages, you shall fly alongside Kennedy as, at long last, she meets the nation of Alquoria.
Dear Reader, read on.
